Supervisor, Title/Insurance Svcs    

JOB SUMMARY:  Will supervise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the title insurance abstract, examination and title policy production. Maintain business relationships with title vendors and business partners.

Describe the duty/responsibility*
Manage Order Pipeline:
In a multi-state environment, monitor new title orders incoming to the department and assign to staff.
Manage and Execute Title Policy Production:
Oversee title policy production to ensure all closing requirements have been completed, verify correct premiums have been collected, invoicing and quality control reviews have been completed. Personally resolve curative matters prior to all escrow closings (e.g. if land has a lien, the Manager will need to obtain and record release prior to closing).

Monthly Reporting:
Prepare monthly production reports based on completed title policy production, post-closing policy issues and outstanding invoicing. Consult with accounting centers and senior leadership on major outstanding issues. Collect outstanding payments for escrow company.
Order Title Searches:
Title search/abstract, examine title, perform title curative functions, issue commitments and take the necessary actions to ensure title is ready prior to closing date.
Oversee Divisions Land Transactions Title Orders:
Manage orders processed through department for NV and CO divisions, inform division attorney and land acquisition groups about title status, defects, requirements and related title issues. Collaborate with underwriters, clients and sellers to obtain due diligence information to issue title policy.
Performance Management and Development:
- Recruit, hire, and retain Title personnel.
- Establish performance goals for each employee and continuously monitor and communicate results.
- Ensure timely completion of all performance management processes for two or more direct reports (performance reviews, development plans).
- Identify team performance gaps and development areas, and offer training or coaching solutions to narrow   the gap. Ensure all individual required training is completed, with a heavy emphasis on the KBnxt Business Model.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals & strategy, celebrate successes, and share best practices.  

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications/Licenses    
• Minimum high school degree or equivalent required
• Associates degree preferred
• Require Title agent license (based on State requirements) and/or ability to become licensed

Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in title abstracting, examination, post policy production, and underwriter reporting
Minimum 3 years management experience, managing direct reports

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong understanding of the title systems software applications (Ramquest, Softpro, FAST, AIMS)
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Excellent problem-solving, quantitative and qualitative skills
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills, working collaboratively with co-workers, management, internal and external customers to maintain relationships
• Strong ability to manage projects and to oversee multiple projects, meeting constant deadlines
• Proven ability in both independent and collaborative decision-making
• Strong understanding of title insurance methodology, regulations, title examining, title abstracting, policies, and procedures

• Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers/customers, trade partners, and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company
