ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Staffs sales offices during business hours
  • Greets visitors and conducts a professional sales presentation while demonstrating models/homes/home sites. Discusses floor plans, general construction, and options, including the benefits of KB Home’s business model to potential buyers.
  • Addresses and overcomes sales objections. Closes the "Sale" with final goal of creating a satisfied customer.
  • Negotiates offers on inventory homes with real estate agents and/or potential home buyers.
  • Accurately completes required paperwork, computer entries, and maintains sales files. 
  • Conducts weekly follow-up calls with buyers and real estate agents until home closes.
  • Ensures that all sales models and community are properly maintained and clean at all times. 
  • Ensures that marketing materials are accurate per community and any specific promotion and that enough materials are ready for distribution to real estate agents and potential buyers.
  • Conducts competitive market analyses (CMA) to properly explain our value proposition. 
  • Continually searches for new prospects/customers through networking, referrals, and effective follow-up.
  • Works with the realty community by conducting presentations to real estate agents explaining the value of the KB business model and its communities and homes to their clients.
  • Hosts grand openings and community events, as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous sales experience preferred 
  • Ability to connect with people, and develop a professional relationship 
  • Results driven mentality with the drive to take a customer from sale to successful closing 
  • Proven ability of being customer centric by seeking solutions from the customer's perspective
  • Strong verbal & written communication, with the ability to communicate accurately and persuasively 
  • Strong ability to work within a team-setting, to be inclusive of other's ideas, and with a willingness to cooperate 
  • Makes quick and accurate decisions based heavily on facts, data and/or metrics 
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule on a consistent basis, including evenings, weekend and holidays 
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential customers and external brokers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company
