JOB SUMMARY: Provide Multi-facted management, review and oversight of all architectural production related functions for all of the companies divisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Production: 
  • Support KB Architecture's business goals by managing the production teams and monitoring weekly workloads. 
  • Provide cohesive liaison between Divisions and in-house team leaders. 
  • Continually improve and maintain continuity of communication and documentation between Design and Production teams.
  • Lead the roll-out of company iniatives as it pertains to value-engineeing and any significant changes to a division's floorplan library. 
  • Manage a team of five outside vendors. 
  • Will oversee the production of architecurral drawings for all divisions and ensure on-time and on-budget to delivery to the divisions.

Compliance:
  • Provide in-depth training for compliance staff.
  • Manage group to provide on time delivery of review packages. 
  • Coordinate frame walk schedules and attend frame walks as required.
  • Document field conditions using photography and video.
  • Determine best solutions for construction issues as needed.
  • Prepare frame walk notes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications/Licenses:      
  • BA, Architecture, NCARB, AIA and registration in multiple states

Experience:
  • 10+ experience with residential design and production. 
  • 5+ years working for production builders

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Previous successful management ability. Consistent team leadership.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to motivate teams.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain deliveries.
  • Excellent problem solving ability
  • Detail oriented design ability. 
  • Ability to review construction documents for compliance approval.
  • Strong working knowledge of residential construction techniques and methodologies.
  • Always maintain high level of professionalism and accountability

WORK REQUIREMENTS:
  • Architect of Record for KB Architectural office. Maintain licenses (through continuing education), review, sign and seal permit drawings for California, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, Florida, Washington and North Carolina. 
  • Assist Divisions with governmental approvals. Attend town meetings as a presenter if required.
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.
