JOB SUMMARY: The Project Manager will develop, organize, review, and manage the architectural process from conceptual design through building completion for assigned divisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Construction Documents
  • Prepare construction documents for building department submittal.
  • Manage multiple projects at once, from conceptual design to build-out.
  • Perform code research as required for project compliance and completeness
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFI)
  • Review and prepare plan check response (written and drawing form)
Schedules / Budget
  • Generate schedules and budgets for assigned projects
  • Compose and disseminate Work Orders, internally and externally
  • Provide supervisor and assigned division(s) regular project schedule and budget updates
  • Attend weekly status and strategy meetings with division(s). 
KBA Representative 
  • Act as primary project liaison with professional consultants (Civil, Structural, MEP, Energy, Solar)
  • Interface with Plans Examiner and Building Official 
  • Represent KBA at frame walk
Marketing Materials
  • Manage creation of brochure files, web files, and interactive files.
  • Audit CAD and/or Adobe files for adherence to development standards
Manager of CAD Operators:
  • Manage daily work output against schedule and budget
  • Audit CAD work files
  • Contribute to professional growth
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 
Education/Certifications/Licenses 
  • Bachelors in Architecture or equivalent work experience  
Experience 
  • Minimum 10 years of professional architectural experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager or in a supervisory position.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in Autocad, Microsoft office and Adobe
  • Ability to generate project schedules, project budgets and determine staffing needs.
  • Ability to develop and prepare plans from conceptual design.
  • Advance level knowledge of materials and methods, project detailing and construction used in the preparation of construction documents for residential buildings.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills that promote efficiency and correctness
  • Must have the ability to listen well, take accurate notes and process directions. Then have the ability to take those elements and execute them per a schedule as directed by senior staff.
  • Demonstrates clear and succinct verbal and written communication.
  • Strong ability to work within a team-setting, inclusive of other’s ideas, and a willingness to cooperate.
Work Requirements 
  • Work 8-hour days with flexibility for additional work hours when necessary.
  • 10-15% travel may be required
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:  
  • Base Salary: The expected base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year depending on experience, paid semi-monthly.  
  • Bonus:  this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
